SWELA Scribe dies a month to planned General Assembly



Shaddrack Epie Ekale, the Secretary General of the SouthWest Elite Association is no more.
Reports from Kumba say he died yesterday while on a flight to India for medical attention.
Though no medical report is yet out, the population of Kumba maintains that he was in good health in the past months.
His demise comes a few days after he sent the following communiqué to The Sun newspaper for publication

ANNOUNCEMENT
“THE PEOPLE OF THE SOUTH WEST REGION IN GENERAL AND THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH WEST ELITE ASSOCIATION IN PARTICULAR, ARE HEREBY INFORMED THAT THE SWELA 2014 GENERAL ASSEMBLY WILL TAKE PLACE IN LIMBE, FAKO DIVISION ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, JULY 25 AND 26, 2014 RESPECTIVELY.
WE DEEPLY REGRET THE LONG DELAY IN HOLDING THIS ASSEMBLY. IT WAS DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL.”
THE ASSISTANT SECRETARIES GENERALS OF THE RESPECTIVE DIVISIONS AND THE PRESIDENTS OF THE CHAPTERS ARE ENJOINED TO SENSITISE AND MOBILISE THEIR MEMBERS FOR A MASSIVE PARTICIPATION AT THE ASSEMBLY.”
