Senator Nfon V.E Mukete thanks Biya for university school in Kumba

The Paramount Ruler of the Bafaws and Chief of Kumba, Senator Nfon V.E Mukete has declared that President Paul Biya has made the people of Meme in general and Kumba in particular proud by his decision last March 7th,2014,creating a Higher Technical Teachers Training College,
ENSET in Kumba.
He made this declaration Monday 10 march 2014, at the Kumba City Council chambers while address Meme sons and daughters of the Division in a meeting aimed at sending congratulatory and thank you message to the Head of State President Paul Biya for not only what he has done but to stress the tell him that they will die with him. According to Senator Nfon V.E Mukete,the reunification gift by the Head of State needs to be given a thunderous applause.
He disclosed that though late it has finally come and in record time. He maintained that the creation of the Higher Technical Teachers Training College is the best thing Meme have ever had. ''The college is the biggest in the country with 14 departments'' he said.
He disclosed that, what a country need most is education, and the Head of State has given it to the people of Meme in a very big way, reason why the people of Meme should take advantage of the opportunity given to them and make good use of it. He enjoined the sons and daughters of the Division to play a leading and great role so that the school should succeed. Corroborating the Meme's political leader, Senator Otte Andrew Mofa, that will be suicidal and wickedness if the people of Meme would have stayed mute without congratulating the Head of State for the offer .He indicated that,with the greatest technical university coming to Kumba, the City of Kumba and Meme as a whole will be transformed technologically.
He disclosed that the gift is clear indication that, the Head of State really loves the people of Meme.
He said the President has already forgiven Meme especially as the opposition penetrated the Division and made gains in both council and parliamentary elections of 2013.The Government Delegate to the City of Kumba Victor Nkele Ngoh,opined that Meme Division has remained in the cold for long and with Kumba being a junction town the creation of the college is a welcome relief.
He maintained that its one of the steps toward  the attainment of vision 2035.To Hon Abel Mukete, the college has being a long time dream for the people of Meme and the President waited for the appointed time and did just that for as he puts it, its better late that never.
Hon Justice Benjamin Itoe observed that the people of Meme have started counting their blessing one after the other and remained optimistic that more is still on its way coming.
He opined that this time around the President has shown that he has Meme at heart, especially as it has being announced that on the 5th May, 2014, the construction of the Kumba-Mamfe road shall begin.
The National president of YCPDM, Mbonda Stephen Motia,that the college is as a result of the loyalty of the people of Meme to the Head of State and moreover the manner in which the people of Meme turn out in their numbers during the celebration of the  Golden jubilee of the reunification of Cameroon that took place in Buea.
Prince Ndoki Mukete, chairman of the Kumba Traditional council lacked word and just concluded he shall lend his support to the college as it goes operational this 2014/2015 academic year.
 The president of Meme Chiefs Conference, HRH Chief Ekong William Sakwe, noted that in several of their demands to the Head of State, they have always included the need for a Faculty of Agriculture in Meme and the Head of State have answered their prayers.
It should be recalled that as per the Presidential decree, the College is attached to the University of Buea and its akin to that of the University of Bamenda that was created in 2010.According to the Presidential decree, the college is made up of 14 department.
They are the Departments of Forestry, Topography and Land Management, Computer Sciences, Education, Family and Social Economy, Renewable Energy Sources, Tourism and Hotel Management, Electricity Sciences, Guidance Counseling, Mechanics, Management Sciences, Administration and Agricultural Sciences.
